Automotive ADD, is there a prognosis?

I decided today that I would go ahead and take photos of my truck, because the Lord knows I will be selling it sometime soon and I should do it while it is nice and clean. I have included two for your enjoyment. I took 16 total of which my 9 favorite will be going into the AutoTrader when the mood catches me right.

Short Skirt & A Long Jacket

Title misleading? Well, I am writing about cake. Manders is proud of her YUMMY cake, so I thought I would share her victory. I am sad to report that when the heat is dry gas heat cranked up to roughly 85 degrees, the icing doesn't hold like it should! Cakes, exception wedding I think, is all about taste. Tasty baked goods is Amanda's fortay, hence my tight body, six pack abs, and 2% body fat. Oh wait, my bad, a six pack in your stomach is not the same as a six pack on your stomach. Well, if a six pack on my stomach means I can't have cake, you can F that in the F N A!!!!!

Shoppers, Only Two Types

There are two types of shoppers in this world I have found. Now I know nothing about how to interpret my scientifically collected and analyzed data, but I know there are two types of people. I bet you can think of one of each. This first is the "and I only paid" person. This person got the coolest Gucci belt, but she only paid $X.XX for it, and he, well, he bought a new Porsche but he got such a great deal. These are the people who prove they have money by mentioning how much they paid in the vein attempt to prove how much money they "saved" which makes them grounded and down to earth. Then there is everyone's favorite, that's right, we all know the name dropper, have you met the BRAND NAME DROPPER. I think I closely resemble this egoiste, insecure bunch. As I have spent more of my money on clothing, I am less concerned with labels, but my ex-girlfriend Merph showed me it was okay to have some Wal-mart jeans and I rocked a Wally World shirt for about 2.5 years till it hit Goodwill. This BND is my favorite, because the minute you point to something and say I like that, they have to tell you what the brand it, regardless of price paid, the hope you think it is really expensive. Fact of the matter, most people have no clue if you got your suit from S&K or Mens Wearhouse or maybe Jos. A Bank or Brooks Brothers. Ultimately, you should be the middle ground!

By the way, I bought some Liz Claiborne Axist shoes, but I got them at Kohls for $39.99 +tax!!!! They are cool, if you are into that sort of thing.

Just Plain Tired

Man, I am just plain tired sometimes. I have slept late the last few days and I stay up late enough to where I remain just plain tired. I guess it is just a preference of self-defeating behavior. Ugh, I need some quality sleep so I can getmyself back on a schedule again.

I did however, in my late night adventures finish the DaVinci code. Wow, I cannot wait for the movie to come out. I won't post any details, but I saw it coming, and I still liked it.

Onto other news, Amanda is about to graduate. Goodness Gracious it is right on time. I am so proud of her. She has her cap & gown, I will upload a pic when blogger lets me. Anyway, tenatively, we will be having a graduation afterparty as Casa De Juan on Saturday, May 13th. Be there!!!!

Some Pictures

Last Friday was the nicest day of the year so far, of course that was until today. It looks the same, except today is 10 degrees cooler than last week. These are some pictures I took of our church. The big building is our main sanctuary, it was built in 1910ish. It is very gothic and cool looking! To the right you see a small chapel, that is Terry Chapel where the early services and small services are held. It was built in the 50's.

Below you will see the reverse side with Terry Chapel in the foreground with the sanctuary looming in the back, check out that sky.

525,600 Minutes

How do you measure a year? I feel like the last few months of my life have been measured in two week increments. Every pay day is a breath of air, then the bank account goes empty and I put my head below the water line and swim as hard as I can towards that finish. I can't seem to find the other end of the pool. I watched Rent on DVD the other day I and wondered if I would make it as a bohemian. I would love to not have to work everyday, I would love to converse in coffee shops and hone my talents (never going to happen because I actually have no profitable talents). I wonder what it would be like to live in a loft in NoDa or Chantilly, in Cicero or Oak Park outside Chicago, Greenwich village, oh how different life would be. I know one thing, I wouldn't be this chubby because I would starve. I live well, I have a cute little house in a decent part of an up and coming town. American dream I am, bohemian I am not. Still, I think it would be fun to live 525,600 minutes in Rent, see what that would do to my perspective. Either way, I measure my friends in love.
